Chase has sent out an e-mail (possibly targeted) that will allow card holders to earn an extra point on every dollar spent when you use your Sapphire Reserve in conjunction with ApplePay between now and November 4th, 2017, on up-to $1,500 in purchases. That's an additional $22.50 in cash back when points are redeemed for travel, and potentially worth more if you transfer points to eligible Ultimate Rewards transfer partners like United Airlines or Marriott hotels.
Remember, Sapphire Reserve typically earns 3x points on travel and dining, and 1 point on everything else. This means you'll be earning 4x points (6 cents) on travel and dining, and 2x points (3 cents) on all other purchases. Not too shabby.
10/4 Update - Good news! The additional point per dollar appears to apply for both the Chase Sapphire Reserve and the Chase Sapphire Preferred, and can be used for any mobile wallet purchase, not only Apple Pay.
